Travel RN – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit serving patients across all age groups
• Perform IV insertion and monitor telemetry for changes in patient condition
• Administer and manage medications using Omnicell dispensing system
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EHR platform
• Float to similar med/surg units as needed
• Respond to call requirements and weekend coverage on an as-needed basis

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure valid to practice in the state of Tennessee
• ACLS certification required prior to start
• BLS certification required prior to start
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHS) certification required prior to start
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg Telemetry experience
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel placement
• Must clear the Tennessee Abuse Registry check prior to assignment start date

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Meditech EHR
• Familiarity with Omnicell medication dispensing systems
• Experience in a Level III Trauma Center environment
