Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to laboring, preterm, and antepartum pregnant patients on an active Labor and Delivery unit averaging 8–10 deliveries per day
• Confidently circulate and recover C-sections in one of two fully equipped OR suites on the unit (scrubbing not required)
• Titrate Pitocin and Magnesium Sulfate drips per established unit protocol
• Document patient care using Cerner EMR and monitor fetal status via the Fetal Link EFM system
• Float to Mother/Baby and Postpartum units as needed
• Adhere to AWHONN staffing guidelines; maintain safe nurse-to-patient ratios (typically 2:1, up to 4:1 in Antepartum, and 1:1 for C-sections)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (compact or AZ state license)
• ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications required
• Demonstrated experience with C-sections (circulation and recovery)
• Computer charting experience required; Cerner experience strongly preferred
• Must pass a dysrhythmia exam with a score of 80% or higher prior to offer (maximum of 2 attempts); failure results in ineligibility at associated health system facilities for 6 months
• Must pass a pass/fail simulation lab on Day 1 of orientation (study guides provided)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a high-volume Labor and Delivery setting
• Familiarity with Fetal Link or similar electronic fetal monitoring systems
• Experience caring for high-risk or preterm patients (28 weeks gestation and greater)
• Prior travel nursing experience in Labor and Delivery
