Key Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered, one-on-one care to a diverse outpatient population
• Manage primary caseloads consisting of patients with orthopedic and neurological conditions
• Perform comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
• Implement evidence-based interventions to maximize patient function and outcomes
• Document patient status accurately and communicate effectively with patients, families, and members of the treatment team
• Supervise and assist therapy technicians and assistants as needed

Required Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy (required for those licensed after 2016; those licensed prior to 2016 are exempt under prior licensure requirements that permitted a bachelor's or master's degree)
• Active Illinois Physical Therapy license, or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
• Candidates who have not yet obtained licensure must have graduated from an accredited program, hold an Authorization to Test letter, be scheduled to test within 60 days of eligibility, and must not have previously failed the licensure exam; state license must be verifiable within one year of hire after passing the exam
• CPR certification required within 90 days of hire
• Candidates must be able to pass a drug screening; this is a drug-free facility
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for standard contract rates

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous clinical experience as a Physical Therapist
• Valid state driver's license as verified through the respective state Department of Motor Vehicles driving record abstract
• Strong analytical ability to evaluate patients' physical and functional status, establish therapy goals, and formulate treatment plans
• Excellent computer skills with the ability to process detailed information accurately, including proficiency with Microsoft software
