Travel RN – Medical Surgical (Ortho Trauma Unit)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 32-bed Ortho Trauma / Medical Surgical unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
• Perform ambulation of patients and wound care as needed
• Operate Baxter IV pumps and Welch Allyn vital signs machines; document in Meditech EMR
• Collaborate with an RN/LVN/PCT team under charge nurse supervision on night shift
• May be required to float to the Surgical Telemetry Unit or Inpatient Rehab as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of Texas (or compact eligibility)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Charge nurse experience
• Preceptor experience
• Positive, team-oriented attitude with the ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
