Occupational Therapist (OT) – Travel Contract

Location

Greenwood, IN | Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | Full-Time | Days | Monday – Friday with 2–3 weekend days per month | Expected 36 hours/week | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy evaluation and treatment services within a 44-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation setting
• Carry a daily caseload of approximately 6–7 adult patients recovering from conditions such as brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injury, amputation, cardiac events, and orthopedic injury
• Deliver customized, intensive rehabilitation tailored to individual patient needs with an emphasis on discharge to home
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment with short lengths of stay
• Document patient care using the UDS electronic health record system
• Float to sister rehabilitation facilities as needed

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
• Active OT licensure in the state of Indiana (or eligibility to obtain)
• Current BLS certification required
• Previous inpatient rehabilitation (IRF) experience highly preferred; candidates with only outpatient, school, or acute care backgrounds may not be the right fit for this role
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment focused on patient recovery and discharge planning

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 or more years of occupational therapy experience
• Experience treating adult IRF patient populations including stroke, neurological conditions, trauma, and orthopedic injury
• Familiarity with UDS or similar electronic health record platforms
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team
