Registered Nurse – Progressive Care (PCU/Stepdown/IMC)

Contract | Days | Shift varies, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care / Step-down or Intermediate Care setting
• Monitor and assess patients requiring a higher level of observation than a general medical-surgical floor
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
• Accurately document patient assessments, care provided, and clinical outcomes in the medical record

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (must meet state requirements)
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a Progressive Care, Step-down, or Intermediate Care setting
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Familiarity with caring for complex, higher-acuity patients in a step-down or intermediate care environment
• Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills
