Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 12-bed Surgical Medical ICU at a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Manage and titrate drips including vasopressors, inotropes, sedatives, analgesics, metabolic, and specialized infusions
• Care for patients presenting with respiratory distress, DKA, renal failure, non-STEMI/post-codes, and surgical ICU post-op cases including vascular, oncology, and flap procedures
• Independently read and interpret cardiac monitor strips using Philips monitoring equipment
• Operate and assist with respiratory therapy equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, high-flow oxygen, and mechanical ventilators in collaboration with 24/7 on-site RT support
• Self-schedule a minimum of six weekend shifts per six-week scheduling period in alignment with unit staffing plans

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of Colorado
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• CRRT certification/competency required
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; valid driver's license must be submitted
• Clinicians must be present in-state for the full week of orientation, even if initial modules are conducted remotely

Preferred Experience / Skills

• General critical care nursing experience in a comparable ICU setting
• Experience titrating vasopressors, inotropes, and sedation/analgesia drips
• Demonstrated ability to work flexibly and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment
