Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Neuro)

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Rotating Weekends
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 30-bed Medical Neuroscience Progressive Care unit with a primary focus on medical neurological patients
- Monitor and manage patients with conditions including CVA, utilizing skills such as External CPAP/BiPAP management, TR band, and Yale Swallowing screening
- Utilize a centralized cardiac monitoring system (CCMD) for patient surveillance and telemetry oversight
- Participate in self-assisted scheduling through an internal scheduling platform on 6-week scheduling periods
- Float to other campus locations within the health system as needed
- Complete unit-based orientation modules (non-billable, averaging 2–4 hours, completed during orientation)
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — must be in hand at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; first-time travelers are welcome
- Neuro PCU experience required
- BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
- All RNs must pass a compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed)
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Third-party education verification required; degrees from schools on the Florida Diploma Fraud Audit list will not be accepted
- No open background check cases permitted
- Current driver's license required to verify address
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted with the application; no post-submission RTO accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous Charge RN experience preferred
- Experience with CVA patient populations and neurological care protocols
- Familiarity with External CPAP/BiPAP management and TR band procedures
