Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings and cardiac rhythms for assigned patients
• Provide direct patient care in a telemetry unit setting, including assessment, planning, and implementation of individualized care plans
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient care and communicate changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
• Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner within the electronic health record

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Iowa or compact license eligibility
• Current BLS certification required
• Prior experience in a telemetry or cardiac monitoring environment
• Ability to work every other weekend and every other holiday as part of the scheduled rotation

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring
• ACLS certification preferred
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
