Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (Free Standing ER)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care to adult and pediatric patients in a free standing emergency department setting
• Assess, monitor, and manage patients presenting with a range of emergency conditions, including CVA (stroke)
• Utilize Epic EMR for accurate and timely documentation of patient care
• Float to alternate free standing emergency department locations as needed based on unit demands
• Participate in emergency response teams as required, including during designated hurricane season (June through November)

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license or Multi-State/Compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience (required for all applicants, including first-time travelers)
• BLS certification – AHA only
• ACLS certification – AHA only
• NIHSS certification
• TNCC certification
• Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; locals considered on a case-by-case basis

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CPI certification
• NRP certification
• Experience as a travel nurse in an emergency department setting
