Travel RN – Medical Surgical

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care on a Medical Surgical combination unit serving adult and geriatric populations
• Maintain a patient ratio of 6:1 in a 12-bed unit setting
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic health record system
• May float to other Med Surg units within the facility as needed
• Adhere to all facility policies, dress code requirements, and professional standards throughout the assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure valid in the state of Tennessee (or compact eligibility)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience in a Medical Surgical setting
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale — all must be obtained prior to start
• Must be checked against the Tennessee Abuse Registry prior to assignment start date; results required before start
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel placement

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 or more years of experience in a Medical Surgical setting
• Familiarity with Meditech EHR
• Experience caring for adult and geriatric patient populations
