Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) – Nights

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Med/Surgical and Surgical Stepdown unit serving a diverse post-operative population including General, GYN, Vascular, Thoracic, Urology, Oral, Plastics, and Trauma surgery patients
• Perform continuous telemetry monitoring, including the ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
• Manage complex clinical equipment and interventions including chest tubes, nasogastric tubes (NGT), epidurals, and Capnography
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the EPIC electronic medical records system
• Float between units as required to meet staffing needs across a 23-bed facility
• Maintain RN-to-patient ratios of 3–5 patients on Med/Surg and 2–3 patients on Surgical Stepdown

Required Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts RN License
• American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a single Med/Surg or Telemetry setting
• Minimum of 2 years of travel nursing experience
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
• Proficiency in management of chest tubes, NGT, epidurals, and Capnography

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience managing arterial lines
• Experience with vasopressor management, including neo-synephrine
• Prior experience with EPIC EMR
