Travel RN – Medical/Surgical (Nights)

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical/Surgical unit serving adult and geriatric populations
• Manage a patient ratio of up to 6:1, with a current max unit census of 18 patients
• Utilize facility EHR system (Medhost) for documentation and patient management
• Operate unit equipment including bladder scanners and glucometers
• Care for patients presenting with diagnoses such as pneumonia, CVA, chest pain, post-surgical recovery, electrolyte imbalances, and DVT
• Maintain required certifications (ACLS and BLS) prior to and throughout assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure valid for practice in the state of Tennessee
• ACLS certification required prior to start
• BLS certification required prior to start
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience
• Must be cleared through the Tennessee Abuse Registry prior to assignment start date
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Critical care thinking and clinical decision-making skills
• Experience with Medhost or similar EHR platforms
• Familiarity with geriatric patient populations
