Travel RN – Cardiac Specialty Unit / Telemetry (Nights)

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct bedside nursing care to cardiac patients on a 26-bed Cardiac Progressive Stepdown unit with a 1:4 patient ratio
• Monitor and manage cardiac patients post-procedure, including interpretation of telemetry rhythms
• Perform titration of IV medications including cardiac drips, heparin, and insulin
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including Charge Nurses, PCTs, and Unit Secretaries
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic health record system
• Float as needed to Telemetry, Medical/Surgical, and OSS units per facility policy

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure (or compact equivalent) valid in the state of Kansas
• Minimum 1 year of telemetry nursing experience
• Experience with cardiac patient monitoring and pacemaker equipment
• Ability to meet weekend scheduling requirements (expected four weekend shifts per four-week period on nights)
• Willingness to adhere to required dress code: royal blue scrub top, black pants

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Background managing cardiac patients post-procedure in a progressive care or stepdown setting
• Experience with IV medication titration in a cardiac care environment
• Familiarity with Meditech documentation system
