Travel RN – Oncology (Nights)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Expected 4 weekend nights per scheduling period (Saturday and Sunday nights)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 24-bed Oncology unit with patient ratios of 5–6:1
• Administer and monitor chemotherapy treatments in accordance with unit protocols
• Utilize Meditech for clinical documentation and patient recordkeeping
• Communicate with staff, physicians, and patients using iMobile phones
• Participate in Bedside Shift Report, Hourly Safety Rounds, and Whiteboard updates in alignment with patient experience standards
• Float to other units as needed per facility floating policy

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure (or compact equivalent) valid in Virginia
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience, with a Medical/Surgical background
• Experience with or ability to perform chemotherapy administration on unit
• Ability to comply with required dress code: Navy Blue scrubs

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in an Oncology setting
• Familiarity with Meditech documentation system
• Experience with patient experience initiatives such as Key Words, Bedside Shift Report, and Hourly Rounding
