Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments upon admission and monitor condition trends throughout the hospital stay
• Prepare, administer, and document prescribed medications including IVs, and manage wound care and specialized equipment
• Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families on post-surgery care, medication schedules, and post-discharge instructions
• Recognize early signs of medical deterioration and take swift action to stabilize patients before emergencies escalate
• Participate in a float pool assignment as required

Required Qualifications

• Active Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical and Telemetry experience (required)
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Must reside more than 35 miles from the facility to be eligible for standard travel rates

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a float pool or multi-unit environment
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR
• Experience in a high-volume acute care or regional medical center setting
