Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical / Telemetry setting across 12-hour day shifts
• Perform and interpret ECG rhythm recognition as assessed during orientation
• Administer and document medications safely, with proficiency validated through the safeMedicate assessment during orientation
• Utilize the Epic electronic health record system for all clinical documentation
• Participate in holiday rotation, working at least every other holiday as scheduled
• Complete annual hands-on competency requirements and facility-assigned modules as required throughout the contract

Required Qualifications

• Active, permanent Ohio RN license or compact state license — must be in hand at time of submission; license hits are not accepted
• AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification — must be active and in hand at time of submission; pending certifications are not accepted
• AHA or American Red Cross ACLS certification — must be active and in hand at time of submission; pending certifications are not accepted
• NIH Stroke Scale certification — must be obtained prior to start date
• Minimum of 12 months combined permanent experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry
• One professional reference from a manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, supervisor, or director within the specialty — must be from an assignment worked within the past 12 months; co-worker references will not be accepted
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must achieve an acceptable score on both the ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation; candidates receive a maximum of two attempts to pass each assessment
• BCI/FBI background check fingerprints must be completed within 48 hours of signing the contract; open background cases are not accepted
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted at the same rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Permanent experience within a single Med Surg / Telemetry location (preferred but not required)
• Prior travel nursing experience in an acute care environment
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
