Contract | Full-Time | Days | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across multiple unit types including Cardiovascular Telemetry, Neuro Telemetry, and Medical-Surgical floors, with floating expected between units and campuses (campuses approximately 9 miles apart)
• Must be able to titrate cardiac drips including Amiodarone, Cardene, Nitroglycerin, Heparin, Dobutamine, and Cardizem (titrating down only)
• Interpret EKGs using centralized telemetry monitoring systems
• Manage a patient population including post-cath lab, post-vascular procedures, post-CABG, CVA/post-TPA, neuro-surgical, and general Medical-Surgical/Oncology/Orthopedic patients
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:3–4 on Tele units and 1:4 on Medical-Surgical units, with PCT support available
• Float to units of similar or lower acuity, including ICU, Cardiac Tele, MedSurg, and various holding areas (e.g., Cath Lab, ER, observation floor); notification of unit and campus provided approximately 1.5 hours prior to shift start

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of Arizona
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required for Neuro Telemetry unit placement
• Must successfully pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to contract signing (maximum 2 attempts, within 48 hours of offer)
• Must successfully pass a Simulation Lab assessment on day one of orientation (pass/fail)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in Telemetry, Cardiovascular, Neuro, or Medical-Surgical nursing
• Comfort with high-acuity floating environments, including ICU-level exposure
• Experience with centralized telemetry monitoring and EKG interpretation
• Familiarity with Spectralink phone systems or similar integrated call light technology
