Travel RN – Free-Standing Emergency Department (FSED)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Days | 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM | Expected start October 2026 | 4 weekend shifts per schedule

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for both high and low acuity emergency department patients in an 8-bed free-standing ED setting
• Maintain a 4:1 patient ratio while delivering safe, effective care to critically ill patients
• Perform medication administration and support critical patient care needs
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including RNs, EMTs, and mid-level providers
• Utilize Meditech EMR for accurate and timely documentation
• Operate GE equipment as required within the department

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid for practice in Virginia
• Minimum 2 years of emergency department nursing experience
• Demonstrated ability to care for critically ill patients
• Required certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, and TNCC

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) certification
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
