Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (Travel)

Contract | Travel | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 13-Week Assignment | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 13-bed Emergency Department serving patients of all ages, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations
• Assess, triage, and manage patients presenting with conditions such as sepsis, CHF, chest pain, stroke, DKA, and trauma
• Maintain accurate documentation using the Paragon EHR system
• Adhere to patient ratios of 1:4 and maintain a safe, efficient care environment
• Participate in rotating weekend shifts (every other weekend)
• Float occasionally to the ICU as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure meeting Virginia state requirements
• Required certifications prior to start: AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, and CPI/HWC
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Emergency Room and/or Critical Care settings
• Experience with ER/Trauma and critical care patient populations
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel consideration

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in an Emergency Department setting
• Familiarity with Paragon or similar EHR platforms
• Experience managing high-acuity and multi-system diagnoses in a fast-paced environment
