Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit with a 1:7 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Float to other units as required based on census and staffing needs
• Participate in rotating weekends and rotating holidays as part of the standard schedule
• Actively support nursing students and contribute to clinical education alongside the provision of patient care
• Complete all required orientation modules, including online computer-based learning (CBLs), during the onboarding period

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Tennessee or through compact licensure
• AHA BLS certification required — AHA is the only accepted certifying body; all other forms will not meet compliance requirements
• NIHSS certification required
• Must complete Relias EKG testing within 72 hours of signing; two attempts are allowed — failure to complete or pass within this timeframe may result in cancellation
• Drug test must be completed within 12–14 calendar days prior to start date; candidates should have no prior engagements during this window and must be available for a second lab visit if needed
• Facial hair must be trimmed or removed to meet CDC guidelines for fit testing; refusal may result in cancellation
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility's service area to be eligible — local candidates will not be considered

Preferred Experience / Skills

• AHA ACLS certification preferred — AHA is the only accepted certifying body
• Prior travel nursing experience in a Medical Surgical setting
• Experience supporting clinical nursing students or participating in bedside education
