Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Float Pool)

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Float between Med/Surg Telemetry and IMC units as part of a float pool, maintaining flexibility across care settings
• Manage patient ratios of 1:4–1:6 depending on unit assignment
• Provide nursing care for patients presenting with conditions including acute respiratory distress, septic shock, hypertensive crisis, severe congestive heart failure, myocardial infarction, unstable angina, and trauma
• Participate in holiday and weekend scheduling as expected
• Document and manage patient care using Epic EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Recent Epic EMR experience is required — must be documented at time of submission
• Minimum 2+ years of Telemetry (Med/Surg Tele) experience in a hospital setting
• Minimum 2+ years of IMC experience in a hospital setting — must be documented at time of submission
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Flu shot and 2-step PPD required — no exceptions
• Prior travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers are not eligible
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; locals are not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for high-acuity patients including septic shock, MI, and trauma in a hospital environment
• Comfort with floating across multiple unit types and adapting quickly to varying patient populations
• Familiarity with Relias or Net Learning module platforms
