Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an intensive care unit setting managing complex diagnoses including stroke, renal failure with CRRT, MI with IABP, respiratory failure, pneumonia, post cardiac arrest, DKA, and surgical ICU cases
• Operate and monitor specialized equipment including CRRT carts, ceiling lifts, central line carts, universal critical airway carts, chest tube carts, temporary pacer carts, bronch carts, chemo carts, and Malignant Hyperthermia carts
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
• Float within specialty and acuity level as required; travelers are expected to be first to float with no restrictions
• Maintain compliance with all unit protocols, onboarding requirements, and facility policies throughout the duration of the assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Maryland or a valid Compact RN license at time of submission
• ACLS certification (AHA only) required
• BLS certification (AHA only) required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (permanent address required)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with CRRT, IABP, and Rotoprone therapy
• Familiarity with high-acuity surgical and medical ICU patient populations
• CPI certification (Calm Every Storm online version is the accepted online vendor)
