Contract | 12 Weeks | Rotating Days/Nights, 3x12-Hour Shifts (07:00–19:00 / 19:30–07:30) | Every Other Weekend

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized peri-anesthesia care in a 28-bay PACU unit serving patients across the full lifespan and spectrum of acuity, including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Deliver vigilant pre- and post-operative care for inpatients and outpatients undergoing scheduled or emergency surgery across more than 20 surgical and procedural services
• Perform titration of vasopressors, airway management, care of ventilated patients, blood product administration, and fluid resuscitation
• Maintain a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment operating 24/7, 365 days a year
• Float within the specialty as needed; travelers are first to float
• Fulfill on-call obligations of 1–2 twelve-hour call shifts per six-week schedule cycle and holiday shifts as they fall

Required Qualifications

• Active Maryland RN license or Compact License required at time of submission
• ACLS (AHA only) and BLS (AHA only) required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Strong ICU experience required
• Must maintain permanent address at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for patients across the full lifespan, including neonatal and pediatric populations
• Familiarity with a broad range of surgical and medical specialties in a high-volume PACU setting
• Comfort with rotating day and night shifts based on departmental scheduling needs
