Occupational Therapist – Acute Care Travel

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Days, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM | Expected 37.5 hours/week | No weekend hours | No call requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services in a primarily outpatient setting serving pediatric and adult populations, with minimal assistance in the acute care hospital as needed
• Treat patients on a 1:1 basis across a diverse patient population including geriatrics, adults, and pediatrics
• Address common diagnoses including musculoskeletal conditions, neurological conditions (CVA, Parkinson's), developmental delays, and autism spectrum disorders
• Float to outpatient adult and pediatric areas as required
• Maintain active Tennessee OT Licensure and current BLS certification throughout the assignment
• Comply with all state-required background screening, including clearance through the Tennessee Abuse Registry prior to assignment start

Required Qualifications

• Active Tennessee Occupational Therapist (OT) Licensure required
• Current BLS certification required prior to start
• Minimum 2+ years of occupational therapy experience
• All required certifications must be obtained and verified prior to assignment start date
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel consideration
• Must clear the Tennessee Abuse Registry check prior to assignment start

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience treating neurological conditions such as CVA and Parkinson's disease
• Experience working with pediatric populations including developmental delays and autism
• Ability to work across outpatient adult, outpatient pediatric, and acute care settings
• Flexible, adaptable, and professional demeanor with a strong sense of urgency
