Travel RN – OR Circulator

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | Days | 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM | Expected 36 hours/week | Every other weekend / as needed | On-call required

Key Responsibilities

• Perform circulating RN duties within a surgical services department encompassing 10 OR rooms, 4 PACUs, 19 ambulatory bays, 5 EPS, and 9 Endo bays
• Provide perioperative nursing care for general surgery and related procedures across the surgical services unit
• Adhere to AORN standards throughout all perioperative nursing activities
• Float within surgical services as needed
• Document and manage patient information using the Meditech EHR system
• Participate in random on-site drug screenings and comply with facility compliance requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure valid for practice in Virginia
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an OR/Surgical RN
• Meditech EHR experience required
• BLS certification required prior to start
• ACLS certification required prior to start
• PALS certification required prior to start
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel placement

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Demonstrates a high level of compliance with AORN perioperative nursing standards
• Experience with general surgery patient populations
• Punctual, team-oriented, and professional demeanor with a collaborative work style
