Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (Travel)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary, independent Labor & Delivery nurse on night shift, providing direct patient care to obstetric, gynecologic, and newborn populations
• Provide care across Labor & Delivery, Antepartum, Postpartum, and Level 1 Newborn Nursery settings
• Follow patient staffing ratios per AWHONN Staffing Standards
• Rotate call during low-census periods as required
• Float to other units during high-volume periods when L&D census is low
• Document and manage patient care using Meditech and Centricity EHR systems

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure valid to practice in Kentucky
• BLS certification required prior to start
• ACLS certification required prior to start
• Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification required prior to start
• NRP certification required prior to start
• STABLE certification required prior to start
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
• Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Postpartum nursing experience
• Level 1 Newborn Nursery experience
• Familiarity with common diagnoses and treatments including Antepartum and Postpartum care
