Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | 36- or 48-hour contracts accepted | Longer contracts (13–26 weeks) also considered

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a dedicated Neuro unit, managing patients with neurological surgical procedures and neuro diagnoses
• Utilize unit systems including Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR communication framework
• Maintain expected patient ratios of 1:5–6 and adhere to weekend shift requirements (12–16 weekend shifts per contract)
• Float to other units within or near the facility as needed
• Participate in Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team assignments; contract staff may be expected to report during catastrophic events, mass casualty incidents, or disasters
• Complete unit orientation, including hospital-based orientation followed by 2 orientation shifts on the unit

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina or a Compact state (pending license acceptable for submission)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Must be open to floating within or near the facility
• Must be available to work 2 of 3 major holidays per contract; no RTO during the first week of assignment
• Local candidates (within 50 miles of the facility) are welcome; a local rate will apply

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Neuro nursing experience strongly preferred
• ACLS, CPI, and NIHSS certifications preferred
• First-time travelers are accepted
