Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Start time of 7:00 AM or 11:00 AM | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity adult Emergency Room at a Level 1 Trauma Center
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using Epic EMR
• Float within scope of practice to other units as needed
• Complete all required facility orientation modules within the designated orientation week timeframe
• Comply with facility-specific policies including natural nail policy and fingerprinting requirements prior to start

Required Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license or valid Compact State RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Room nursing experience
• Epic EMR charting experience required
• Must submit to fingerprinting per Virginia state requirements prior to start; candidates may not begin with results pending (average turnaround: 15–20 business days)
• 2 professional references required at time of submission
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted at the same rate — no radius restrictions apply

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Prior experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center environment
• Experience floating across units within an acute care setting
