Registered Nurse – Telemetry / Neurology

Contract | Days (3x12, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Onsite | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a neurology/telemetry unit within a short-term acute care, Level II Trauma Center environment
• Administer and interpret the NIH Stroke Scale and manage patients with various neurological diagnoses and post-neurosurgery needs
• Maintain a patient assignment ratio of 1:4
• Float between units within the contracted facility as operationally needed
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
• Support holiday staffing needs, with an expectation to work 3 of the 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Demonstrated experience with neurological patient populations, including stroke and neurosurgery
• Comfort with NIH Stroke Scale administration and interpretation
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible as a standard travel candidate (locals may be considered under separate terms)
• Must commit to all required RTO and scheduling requests being submitted upfront at time of submittal

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a teaching hospital or Level II Trauma Center setting
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring in a neurology or neurosurgical context
• Experience floating between units in a large acute care environment
