Contract (13 Weeks) | Full-Time | Onsite | 12-Hour Day Shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM) | Expected 36 hours/week (48 hours/week may be available upon request; overtime applies after 52 hours on 48-hour contracts)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to a Medical-Surgical population including post-surgical patients, UTI, sepsis, high fall risk, COPD, and CHF cases
• Perform and manage clinical skills including remote tele monitoring, chest tubes, NG/PEG tubes, straight cath/Foley catheters, ostomy care, Heparin drips, blood/blood product administration, tracheostomy care, and PCA management
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:4–5 during day shifts; float within skillset to sister campuses (approximately 8–11 miles away) with a minimum of 2 hours notice for cross-campus floats
• Adhere to weekend and holiday rotation requirements: three weekends per every six-week schedule and every other holiday
• Document using EPIC; completion of a checkoff class will be required upon start
• May be required to precept students and new hires at this teaching facility; maintain professional conduct with no competing health system or agency logos on scrubs

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of strong Medical-Surgical nursing experience
• At least 1 prior travel assignment required
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Current active compact RN license required
• AHA BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Must live at least 40 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Recent EPIC charting experience strongly preferred
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills with the ability to manage change effectively
• Experience with a broad range of Med-Surg clinical skills including tracheostomy care and PCA management
• Collaborative, resilient, and team-oriented work style
