Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit with an average daily census of 28 patients across a 30-bed unit
• Manage a patient assignment ratio of 1:5–6, caring for an adult to geriatric patient population
• Work every other weekend as part of the standard schedule
• Work holidays as they fall per the unit schedule
• Float within the Medical Surgical specialty as needed; travelers are expected to float first

Required Qualifications

• Active Maryland RN license or valid Compact RN license at time of submission
• BLS certification – American Heart Association only
• ACLS certification – American Heart Association only
• CPI certification – The Calm Every Storm online version is the only acceptable online vendor
• NIHSS certification required
• Must maintain a permanent address of 50 or more miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in a Medical Surgical setting
• Comfort and flexibility floating within scope across similar units with no restrictions
• Experience working with adult and geriatric patient populations
