Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Med-Surg General Surgery/Trauma unit within a large academic medical center
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans for surgical and trauma patients
• Utilize Epic EMR for accurate and timely documentation of patient records and clinical data
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes
• Adhere to facility dress code, including Navy Blue Scrubs
• May be required to float to other units as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Epic EMR experience is required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience at a 600+ bed academic hospital (with passing competency testing score); 2 years of experience exempts the competency testing requirement
• Competency assessment must be completed within 24 hours of submission
• Candidates must not reside in ineligible local counties — local candidates are not being accepted for this position

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 or more years of Med-Surg, General Surgery, or Trauma nursing experience
• Prior travel nursing experience in a large academic or teaching hospital setting
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring in a Med-Surg environment
