Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM | On-call coverage required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care in a Cardiac Cath Lab setting, supporting a 3-room unit with a staffing model of 3–4 staff per room
- Assist with and support a wide range of procedures including heart caths, CTO, high-risk PCI, ablations (AFib, AFL, SVT, PVC), device implantations (PPM, ICD, Watchman), peripheral angiography with and without intervention, ECMO cannulation, and thrombectomy
- Operate and monitor specialized equipment including X-ray, Impella, Penumbra, IABP, various stents, sheaths, wires, guides, and atherectomy devices
- Document patient care accurately using Hemomerge and Meditech Expanse EMR systems
- Participate in on-call rotation; on-call begins after daily cases conclude, with expected 24-hour on-call shifts covering Friday through Sunday
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid in the state of Texas (or compact license eligibility)
- Previous Cardiac Cath Lab experience required; candidates without this experience will not be considered
- Required certification: Radiology Technologist (RT) or RCIS
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Familiarity with Hemomerge and/or Meditech Expanse EMR platforms
- Experience with high-acuity interventional procedures such as ECMO cannulation and high-risk PCI
- Adaptable, collaborative, and easygoing personality well-suited to a fast-paced procedural environment
