Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 12-hour shifts | Expected 36 hours/week | 13-week assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Telemetry setting, monitoring cardiac rhythms and responding to changes in patient condition
• Float to Intermediate Unit (IU) and General Medical units within the same medical center as part of a Staffing Office Float Pool
• Administer medications, perform assessments, and coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams
• Utilize EPIC electronic health records for documentation and care coordination
• Perform neurological assessments using NIHSS as required
• Work every other weekend as part of the standard schedule

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (Compact license accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of Telemetry nursing experience
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Ability and willingness to float to IU and General Medical units within the facility
• Must live at least 80 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience (at least 1 previous travel assignment in a General setting)
• Familiarity with NIHSS stroke scale assessment
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records
