Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR Circulator)

Charlotte, MI | Critical Access Hospital
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days | Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM | On-call required (approximately 7 days per month: weekday on-call 5:00 PM–7:00 AM; weekend on-call 7:00 AM–7:00 AM)
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary circulating RN in an active operating room environment
- Support robot-assisted surgical procedures including orthopedic, cataract, and endoscopic cases
- Administer and monitor conscious sedation per facility protocols
- Utilize telemetry monitoring as part of perioperative patient care
- Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled, including weekday and weekend coverage
- Fulfill previous charge nurse experience responsibilities as required by the role
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Michigan RN license required by start date (compact license not accepted; pending license not accepted)
- ACLS certification required (AHA preferred; must be active by contract start date)
- BLS certification required (AHA preferred; must be active by contract start date)
- PALS certification required (AHA preferred; must be active by contract start date)
- Minimum 3 years of OR circulator experience required
- Previous charge nurse experience required
- Locals are welcome — no radius restriction applies
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 3–5 years of OR circulator experience preferred
- Experience with Epic EMR (training provided during orientation if needed)
- Familiarity with robot-assisted surgical platforms across multiple specialties
