Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM with variable hours and on-call requirements | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia nursing care to patients recovering from surgical and procedural interventions in a PACU setting
• Monitor and assess patient vital signs, airway status, and level of consciousness during the immediate post-operative period
• Administer medications, manage pain, and respond to changes in patient condition in a timely and clinically appropriate manner
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe patient transitions
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes
• Participate in on-call responsibilities as required per unit scheduling needs

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of Texas (or compact license eligibility)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum of 1 year of PACU nursing experience
• Ability to fulfill on-call obligations as part of a variable-hours schedule

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a high-volume acute care or surgical hospital environment
• Familiarity with HCA Healthcare systems and protocols
• Strong critical thinking and rapid assessment skills in a fast-paced post-operative setting
