Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Night Shift)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Onsite | 2 weekends per pay period required | No call requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 24-bed IMC/PCU/Telemetry unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms using GE remote telemetry equipment
• Care for post-procedural cardiac patients including those following cardiac catheterization, pacemaker placement, Watchman procedures, and ablations
• Manage care for stroke and other complex medical patients in a stepdown setting
• Document accurately and efficiently using Meditech EMR
• Participate in bedside shift report, update patient communication boards, and attend unit huddle at the start of each shift

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current ACLS certification required
• Current BLS certification required
• Demonstrated competency in cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Leadership or charge nurse experience
• Critical care background
• Monitor technician experience
