Registered Nurse (RN) – Stepdown / IMC/PCU

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Expected 72 hours bi-weekly

Key Responsibilities

• Provide total patient care for stepdown/IMC patients in a 28-bed unit
• Manage a patient ratio of 5:1, with occasional ratios of 6:1
• Monitor and assess patients requiring an intermediate level of care between ICU and general medical-surgical
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
• Adhere to unit dress code; royal blue scrubs required

Required Qualifications

• Active Tennessee RN License required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Minimum 1 year of stepdown or IMC/PCU nursing experience
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in a stepdown or progressive care setting
• Familiarity with Cerner electronic medical records
• Experience managing higher-acuity medical-surgical or intermediate care patients
