Contract RN – IMC / Stepdown (Night Shift) – 13-Week Travel Assignment

Contract | Travel | Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Expected 3 nights per week | Weekends required | 13-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 34-bed Intermediate Care / Stepdown unit with a 4:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
• Perform and assist with procedures including emergent chest tube placement, Midline and PICC line management, and emergent bedside bronchoscopy
• Operate and monitor bedside equipment including cardiac monitors, glucometers, dopplers, standing scales, and Hoyer lifts
• Collaborate as part of a team-oriented unit staffed with charge nurses and patient care technicians on both day and night shifts
• Adhere to facility dress code: Navy Blue scrub tops and pants required

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of Texas
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience, preferably in an IMC, PCU, or Stepdown setting
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• No on-call requirement for this assignment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CATN, TCAR, or TCCN certification preferred
• Prior experience with Midline and PICC line care and management
• Experience working in a high-acuity intermediate or progressive care environment
• Team-oriented mindset with strong collaborative communication skills
