Travel RN – Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Contract | Travel | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | 13-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care / Step-Down unit setting
• Support unit operations during a transition to a Neuro PCU environment
• Monitor and assess patients requiring an intermediate level of care between ICU and general medical-surgical floors
• Perform and document neurological assessments as part of ongoing patient monitoring
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Texas or compact state eligibility
• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of PCU, Step-Down, or IMC nursing experience
• Current BLS certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Neuro PCU or neurological care setting
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Previous travel nursing experience
