Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care in a Level II Trauma Center OR environment, supporting a wide range of surgical specialties including trauma, urology, podiatry, orthopedics, plastics, neurosurgery, gynecology, endoscopy, ENT, thoracic, vascular, cardiovascular, and bariatric procedures
• Perform both scrub and circulator roles as required by departmental needs
• Assist with and support DaVinci robotic surgical procedures
• Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio, caring for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Participate in rotational weekend shifts, holiday coverage, and on-call assignments as scheduled; must be available to arrive on-site within 30 minutes of being called in
• Float within the OR specialty and to a sister campus as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Maryland or a valid Compact license at time of submission
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only) required
• Minimum 3 years of OR experience required; candidates with 2 years of strong, relevant OR experience may be considered
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Must be able to scrub and circulate without restrictions
• Must be comfortable floating within scope with no restrictions; travelers are first to float
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification (American Heart Association only) preferred
• Strong general OR and robotics experience, particularly with DaVinci systems
• First-time travelers with demonstrated general OR and robotics experience will be considered
