Travel RN – Day Surgery / PACU

Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Days | Variable Shifts | 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for surgery and provide pre- and post-operative care in a Day Surgery / PACU setting
• Deliver age-specific care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
• Support a broad range of surgical service lines including Medical/Surgical, Cardiovascular, Oncology, Orthopedics, Neuroscience, and Bariatric services
• Accurately document patient care using the Meditech electronic documentation system
• Fulfill on-call requirements as scheduled by the unit
• Float to other units as needed per facility floating policy

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Texas — temporary licenses will not be accepted
• Minimum 2 years of Day Surgery / PACU experience
• Active ACLS certification required
• Active PALS certification required
• Active BLS certification required
• Experience providing age-specific care for adolescent (13–17), adult (18–65), and geriatric (65+) patients

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Meditech electronic health record system
• Background across multiple surgical service lines (Cardiovascular, Oncology, Orthopedics, Neuroscience, or Bariatric)
