Contract | Days (0700–1930) | 3×12-hour shifts | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to an adult inpatient population on a Med Surg/Oncology unit, managing a variety of medical, surgical, and oncology diagnoses including cancer, CHF, ESRD, stroke, and hematology/oncology conditions
• Manage and monitor lines, drains, and equipment including PICC lines, central lines, Port-A-Cath/vascular devices, PCA pumps, wound VACs, feeding tubes, and triple lumen catheters
• Administer blood and blood products, titrate IV medications including heparin, and manage stable drips such as Lasix
• Provide airway and respiratory care including chest tube setup and care, CPAP/BiPAP, and tracheostomy care
• Document and manage patient care using EPIC EHR
• Float to other Med Surgical units as needed to support staffing; call is not required

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of Pennsylvania
• Experience in Med Surg/Oncology or a related inpatient nursing specialty
• Proficiency with EPIC EHR
• Competency in blood/blood product administration and 12-lead EKG acquisition
• Ability to maintain a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio in an adult inpatient setting

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in hematology/oncology nursing
• Familiarity with pre-operative and post-operative patient care
• Experience managing titrated IV medications and stable drips in a Med Surg environment
• Comfort working with CNA ancillary support in a team-based care model
