Registered Nurse – IMC / PCU / Stepdown

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an Intermediate Care / Stepdown unit setting
• Monitor and assess patients requiring a higher level of observation than general medical-surgical care
• Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner using Epic
• Float within scope of practice to meet facility needs as required
• Participate in orientation modules, which vary in length and type by specialty

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered RN license (no license hits; pending state licenses are not accepted)
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience; first-time travelers are not eligible
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Willingness and ability to float within scope to meet facility needs
• Must live more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible; candidates within 75 miles are considered local and are not eligible to apply
• No more than 5 days of RTO; holiday RTO is not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in an IMC, PCU, or Stepdown unit
• Familiarity with Epic EMR
• Strong hemodynamic monitoring and telemetry assessment skills
