Description:TRAVEL - RN - PCU - MULTI TRAUMA - (655) - Swedish MC - 7A - 7P - BACKFILL Unit Information: MTU 655 Step-Down Unit Location: 10th Floor Swedish Hospital Address: Swedish 501 E Hampden Ave Englewood CO 80113 Floor: 10th Floor Building: General Information Tell us about the unit(s): Number of Beds - 20 Number of Staff 40 Type of staff: Day Shift 1 charge nurse and 5 nurses, 3 techs Night Shift 1 charge nurse and 5 nurses, 2 techs Patient Ratios 1:4, charge free of patients -Estimated ratios, not guaranteed Type of equipment Vents, Feeding Pumps, IV Pumps, Wound Vacs, Specialty beds, Suction, Chest Tubes EMR - Meditech Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters) Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. BLS Ability to manage chest tubes, trauma patients, trachs, suction Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first. ACLS List typical procedures performed on unit(s): Place chest tube Bedside bronch Best personality Fit: Team-player Highly acute patient population so someone who likes a challenge Unit Guidelines/Policies: Standard trauma unit with stable vented/trached patients Any additional information that would entice a worker to select your unit for their assignment: Level 1 trauma center trauma unit with highly complex and interesting patients Great team-work, motivated nurses Very supportive charge nurses Great tech support on day shift and night shift Wonderful physicians
