Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room (OR)

Shift Details

Shift: 4×10-hour shifts
Schedule: 12:00 PM – 10:30 PM
Block Scheduling: Not allowed

Call Requirements

One 12-hour call shift per month
Call is Saturday or Sunday only
Hours: 7A–7P or 7P–7A
No weekday call

Weekend Requirement

Every other weekend (2 weekends per month)

Time Off (RTO) Policy

Maximum 5 days total
No more than 2 consecutive days
No holiday RTO
No RTO the day before or after a holiday
No weekend RTO

Floating

Mandatory float facility (Cook County)
Clinician will float within scope at facility discretion

Guaranteed Hours

40 hours/week

Requirements

Experience

Minimum 2 years recent acute care OR experience

Required Experience

Level 1 Trauma OR
Strong scrub and circulate skills
Experience in:
- Orthopedics
- Ortho Trauma
- Vascular
- Urology
- General Surgery

Preferred Experience

Neurosurgery (crani & spine)
Open Heart / Thoracic
Ophthalmology
ENT
Bariatrics
Gynecology

Certifications

BLS

Licensure

Pending licenses NOT accepted

Locals

Locals accepted
Must live within 75 miles of facility (locals preferred)

Parking: $2/day at Juvenile Temporary Detention Center (JTDC)
- Shuttle every 15 minutes between Stroger and JTDC
