Floating between departments and or local locations within 20 miles is required.

Job Summary:
Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, applies a variety of therapeutic interventions for rehabilitation of physical and developmental disorders. Treats patients regarding the application of a wide variety of therapeutic interventions for rehabilitation of physical function and developmental disorders. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span of patients served.

Essential Duties:
-Oversees and ensures a comprehensive rehabilitation program designed to meet the physical, psychosocial, and immediate environmental well-being of the patient.
-Promotes patient/caregiver self-determination by optimizing outside resource utilization to achieve the highest level of independence.
-Coordinates and communicates with various disciplines or services involved in patient care.
-Coordinates efforts toward discharge goals established at initial evaluation and during episode of care.
-Is a patient advocate.
 

Skills:

Required Skills & Experience:
-Two (2) years current experience required in specialty.
-Must be a team player, flexible, and accustomed to fast paced environment.
-Must have successfully completed at least one 13-week travel assignment.

Required Education:
-HS Diploma or GED required.

Preferred Education:

Required Certifications & Licensure:
-NM state PT Assistant license.
-BLS certification required.
-BLS must be completed through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross.
