Position Details:

• Pay: Starting at $49/hr

Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or beyond.
• RI SLP Licensure is required thru RI DOE.
• ASHA SLP-CCC Certification is required.
• ESOL Certification highly preferred.
• Experience working with students with a range of disabilities (e.g., learning disabilities, autism, developmental delays, etc.)

Skills & Experience:

• Experience working with children in school settings, preferably in bilingual/dual-language programs.
• Bilingual (Spanish-English) proficiency preferred.
• Knowledge of IDEA, IEP processes, and evidence-based practices in speech-language services.
• Strong collaboration, organization, and communication skills.
• Experience with diverse student populations and English Language Learners (ELLs).
• Training in culturally responsive and trauma-informed practices.
• Familiarity with digital tools and data systems used in special education documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations in accordance with federal and state guidelines.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans for students with speech-language needs.
• Deliver direct and consultative speech/language services to students in inclusive and pull-out settings.
• Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary teams, and eligibility determinations.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate language development strategies into instruction.
• Use culturally and linguistically appropriate assessment tools and intervention strategies.
• Support the implementation of AAC and other communication supports as needed.
