About the Unit: 

  • 19 Patient Rooms, 6 PACU Rooms, 6 Triage Rooms, 3 L&D OR's
  • Number of Staff: 7-9 RN's, 1 Charge, 1 CST
  • Ratios: 2:1, or 1:1 for higher acuity
  • Equipment: FHR Monitors (Novii and GE), FSE (fetal scalp electrodes)
  • EMR: CPN and Meditech 

Must Have: 

  • 3+ years of Labor/Delivery Experience
  • BLS, NRP
  • ACLS, ALS (preferred)

Typical Procedures Performed on Unit: 

 

  • Vaginal deliveries, c-section deliveries,
  • Delivery of care through nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.  Responsible for directing and coordinating all nursing care for labor and delivery patients, postpartum patients and high-risk antepartum patients.
